The Grease Monkey Story
Grease Monkey Swaps is a website born from an idea formed while constantly searching for parts and pieces to upgrade and finish the car of our dreams. While traveling backroads and even the main interstates, there were many times when something sitting in the distance caught my eye. Whether it was something I needed or wanted, there was always the thought that somewhere out there, someone was walking swap meets and searching local resources, trying to move their build along without knowing what I just passed. On the other side of that, there’s the person moving on from a build or a dream car. They’ve retrieved the parts they needed, gone in a different direction, or simply had their time with it and “put it out to pasture,” so to speak.
While swap meets are a great way to meet like-minded people, they are mostly seasonal, take effort to haul things in and out for sale, and more often than not, you see people walking around with parts-wanted signs around their necks, leaving empty-handed.
Grease Monkey Swaps connects people on their terms, year-round. Sellers can make something off of the things they no longer need or desire, while buyers can find exactly what they need.
